Work, work, work...
I really do love my job. It's interesting, the people are fun, it's varied enough to keep me from being bored out of my mind. But it is work. I work to live not live to work.
Had dinner with my daughter and her live in boyfriend last night. Do people even use that term anymore. I've been out of the loop so long I haven't a clue. It's funny because when Martin asked for my hand in marriage my dad's first words were, "You can't bring her back." Then he said, "I'll give you money if you'll elope." To which my mother replied, "Why don't the two of you just live together." I could not believe it...I was more conservative than my parents...who can say that? It's not strange in my family. I've always been more conservative than EVERYONE in my family and I like it that way. It's funny though because my kids are more like my parents and brothers and sisters. Go figure! The dinner was very nice and it was nice to visit with them.

My Man
My hubby woke me up this morning bright and early. I'm fighting a cold and I wanted to sleep in, and was in fact in the middle of a dream. I wasn't too happy. He turned on some acoustic music which is one of my faves and I started to think about all the people in my life who are alone and want to be loved and can't find anyone. Or the widows and widowers who miss their spouses and I realized how blessed I am. Blessed beyond measure. My husband is a gift from God and I need to remember that when he doesn't put away his laundry, and when he cooks and drops food on the floor and doesn't pick it up, or wakes me up too early. Because we'll not have each other forever. It's a precious gift that's lasted 28 years and who knows how much longer I'll be allowed to keep it. But it's mine and I hear him in there making homemade spaghetti sauce and the acoustic music is playing and I'm HAPPY!

Tempis Fugit
Time really does fly! I can't believe it's been over a year since I've been on here. So much has happened that I think I'll just begin from here. What a night last night at 3am we hear a loud crash I woke up with my heart beating like crazy and my car alarm was going off. We realized it was thunder. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I stayed awake and when I finally drug my sorry sleepy butt out to the car it wouldn't start. My hubby had to drive me in and I'm exhausted. So, I'm heading out to the coffee cart in the lobby to get me some Java. Sheesh...I hope I make it to 5.
