Row 6: Ch 4 and repeat row 4. Sl st in top of (3ch) of beginning ch4.
Row 7: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), dc, ch 2, dc, hdc in next dc (shell completed).  Sc in next dc.  Repeat to corner (6 shells). At corner single crochet in each ch.  Ch 2, dc, ch 2, dc hdc in next dc.  Sc in next dc.  Repeat to corner. At corner 3 single crochet in ch 3 space of previous row.  Repeat around to ch 2 attach with sl to top of second ch.  Motif completed.

I used the join as you go method for attaching motif’s together.  To do this…as you are completing Row 7 you will get to the middle of your shell and will attach across to the middle of the shell in the opposite motif.

1 hdc, 1 dc, ch 1; slip stitch in middle of ch 2 of shell in opposite motif, ch 1, dc, hdc, sc in next dc.  Continue in this manner to the end of the row.
